My feeling is that it’s generally ok, since at least one of your resumes will probably be trashed and they won’t even remember that you applied. If it gets to the point where your application receives real interest and they ask questions, then you can explain it and maybe drop the application that you are less interested in.
Yeah. I figured this out years ago.
Just apply with a different name to each opportunity. When you get the job, just change names. Easy.
