on the buyside, you get to criticize & talk back all you want. x2 if you work at a top place like SAC, fidelity, etc
on the sellside, you put on a smile and continue taking it.
Working on the sell side is tough. Like others said they have to keep smiling and pretending their fund is great when the other side is only asking about/pointing out the negatives of the fund.
Sell side analyst usually publish their research reports which are publicly available, But buy side research report is not publicly available.
For example-
Sell side analyst- Investment Banking, trading at bank,sell side research companies.
Buy side- Private equity, Venture capital,hedge fund, Asset management firm.
