CAIA II Essay / Short Answer Questions

Hi All,

For those of you preparing for CAIA II, in taking practice tests via Schweser or UpperMark are you finding that you don’t use the alloted 2 hour time for the 3 essay questions? I’m using about 1 hour MAX, and was wondering what your experience has been.

My experience last year was that. During the practice tests I used 1 hour max, maybe less. However, on the actual test I used 1.5 hours because I just kept reading through my answer over and over again before I hit submit.

I’m taking the exam in one week.

How did you like the Schweser materials? I used Schweser for L1 CAIA and switch to UpperMark for L2. Have mixed feelings about it as I don’t think UpperMark is as complete. Oh well!!

I passed using Schweser for both Levels 1 and 2. I did use the UM Q-bank though which I couldn’t have passed without.
