CAIA Lvl2 + CFA Lvl2

I am currently debating on studying for CFA L2 early and take the CAIA Lvl 2 for March…anyone else do this? i’m thinking its a little overkill and possibly put off CAIA lvl 2 till Sept. Im also a Mathematics masters candidate this upcoming fall so i have a full schedule. Any insights and prior experience in doing this would be great. Thanks

nah you shouldn’t do that… CFA level 2 is much more important so your studying should be done closer to the June date… I’ll try to dedicate at least feb, mar, apr, and may just for CFA level 2. CAIA level 2 doesn’t seem too bad (although it’s definitely more challenging than CAIA level 1 since there’s that essay part of the exam), but you should just do it this Sept (or if you have to, study it during nov, dec, and jan and do a quick brush-up in mar right before the March exam)… You definitely have a full plate since you’ll be doing your masters this fall as well… but if you dedicate yourself, i think it’s doable.

surely if you are working you d better to postpone CAIA 2 for September 09. I did CAIA 2 and awaiting for CFA2 results but I was unemployed.

I was thinking about the same thing, but after failing the Level 2 twice (close to passing the first time with three months of study) I won’t risk it this time. September 09 for sure for me if I take it (CAIA Leve 1 though).
