CAIA Work Experience Requirement

CAIA requires 1 year of work experience. Is this a time restriction for that? For example, FRM requires completition of 2 years work experience from 5 years of passing the exam. Does CAIA have such requirement?

Not from what I have read.

If your a Level 3 CFA candiadate you should already have the work experience covered for CAIA.

Not necessarily. What if he has been unemployed this whole time? or worked at Macy’s? Not saying you have bro, just saying the statement above is not true in all cases.

True, but I was trying to avoid tagging on something unkind about rethinking your career. After all you only need 1 year within the regulatory, banking, financial, or related fields (that casts the net rather wide) and i don’t think there’s a within the last X years either. So if you’ve got to Level 3 CFA and finished CAIA I think it would be unlikely you had not achieved the work experience for CAIA after all you’ve been studying this for at least 2 years solid.

Whilst I agree it is possible, if you’re in this situation you’ve got bigger questions to ask than how to get your CAIA work experience.
