This is really the only thing I’m anxious about (apart from the exam itself). I replaced my battery last year for L1 in May, and have used it for the past 6mo actively. How long do these things last? Should I really worry about getting another? If this crappy weather in NYC keeps up I may just borrow my friend’s BAII Plus, rather than walking to RadioShack to get a new battery, and be that guy with two calculators.
I have one calculator no battery replacement… if my calculator which has worked fine for the last year happens to break tomorrow during exam day… it was not meant to be
i have 2 calcs, but they both have been running for i dunno, 2 yrs easy each. yours will make it through tomorrow. so will mine.
I bring 2 calculators with fresh batteries b/c I’m a paranoid f!ck
i changed the battery yesterday just because i’m paranoid. i bet it would have lasted me through the next level.
2 calculators AND extra battery. Why chance it, however small the odds?
^super, you aren’t paranoid. I am!
Cube most people will have two. Maybe I will bring three to be cool.
oh yeah well i’m bringing a pocket protector for all my writing instruments

when in doubt…long division!
I bought something like a 10 pack of CR2025’s online last year for something like $1 each. The cost about 5 times that at Walgreens. I figure why risk it…I bring two calculators, and I put fresh batteries in them before the test. Bring the old batteries into the test center with me as my spares. Risk/Reward seems kind of low on that bet, but maybe that’s just me…
I’ve been using mine since Dec '06. I have one as backup that’s even older (probably '04-05)
Changed mine this morning! Question, if ur calculator stops working during the exam are u permitted to borrow one from someone who has 2?
Chamarr - Clearly stated as prohibited on the CFAI site. You can borrow one before the exam starts, but not once you are taking the test.
