Hi Everyone,
Just to give you a brief background, I graduated with a 3.65 in corporate finance and accounting 4 years ago from a tier 2 undergrad school. I’ve been working in a big 4 for four years now in transaction services. I specialize mainly in deal structuring and structuring security instruments mainly derivatives for hedging.
I’ve been thinking about jumping ship if I passed level 2 of the CFA exam and getting myself into the finance world. Ideally I would love to get into equity research, but I don’t think I have the experience. Although, a few people in my group have gotten into IB so it’s not out of the realm of possibility. Also, I’ve done tons of self-study and worked with hundreds of valuation models so I can easily model LBO’s and other transactions. Option 2 would be to go back to B-school. I took the Gmats two years ago and I’m sitting on a 710.
Some constructive advice would be much appreciated!
Thank you!
