Hi Guys,
I am looking for some advice on CFA as a ladder to help in take of my career in finance in US.
Previous Background-
I am an engineer and MBA from India, with 6 years of work experience in banking handling credit and lending side of banking majorly in working capital and trade finance area (Corporate Finance)
I am looking for suggestion about CFA as a level up certification to establish and give the required tail wind to accelerate my career in finance industry.
You will never go wrong having ‘CFA’ after your name, Gurpreet. Never, never, never.
FWIW, I got my charter at the age of 62. Fifteen years later, I’m still working and expect to continue to do that. My late Grandmother (Cal Berkeley - Class of 1912) worked until she was 99 and lived to be 106. Working keeps us looking forward. Retirement begets ‘old people’s disease,’ which is all about looking backward. That might work for a lot of people, but it’s a non-starter for me.
Good luck with the CFA regimen!!
Best regards–
