CFA...can I do it? If you're a CA or CA student from India !! Please reply

Joke of the year.

Uh not for investment banking ?? But everyone says it’s a great thing if ur into IB

just my opinion your honour

Sanjay Saraf.

You know what he taught me FRM and currently i am doing his CFA classes.

He is not a Indian CA…He mocks Indian CA s all the time in his CFA classes and 90% of his students in CFA classes are CA passouts…How do i know all this???Because i attend his life classes in Kolkata.Sanjay Sir is a CFA and still is regarded as best CA teacher in India.

My IITian/IIM friends are doing CFA with me.No IIT/IIM guy will ever do Indian CA after passing out from IIT/IIM…Why??Because you want to upgrade not down grade.

CFA not good for IB???

Why don’t you check Linked in profiles of CAs and US CFAs.

Post again after doing some research on Linkedin.

its more centered around equity research/investment management, ull get the role of a research analyst if u get a cfa…

mba in finance for i.b

Actually I plan to do only level 1 level 2 and 3 after CA. I want to concentrate on CA …so June 15 would be my attempt fir l1 …I think for me CA final will require 1.5 years !!

thanks for the support fellow CA bros

meee and anupriya:

My advice is please look at Linkedin profiles of CA’s and CFA’s.

Linkedin never lies.It will give you a true picture.

I have a linkedin profile so i know how to use linkedin.

Linkedin will tell you how many Indian CA’s or Us CFA’s are registered with them (most of them are) and where they are working and what are their job profiles.

what are his cfa l2 and l3 fees?

R : I’ve seen . I’ve done my research on it like crazy …so I know go to Cfa site they even give u a quiz about what suits u after Cfa

I strongly advice you not to do this classes. He will mock Indan CA and you will not like it.

As for fees it is around $450 per level.

yes he mocks the c.a institute alot in c.a classes too…

27000 sounds reasonable…wil see if i can attens for level 3

how many students arr thwre approx in his cfa batches?

You are talking like a Kid.Linkedin research is different

Ok wait let me do some research for you all.https://www.google.co.in/?gws_rd=cr&ei=prlkU_6pMo2QuASfk4AY#q=CFA+FRM+india+linkedin

CA and CFA are not comparable two completely different specialisations. Level of difficulty does not matter if you really like to be in that field. If you want accounts audit taxation CA it is. If you want ER, investment analysis, portfolio management -CFA

If you want to get into IB, MBA from Top Bschool should be your first choice.given that finance field is shrinking, you must be careful of what you choose.

If your academically inclined, like to study or want to get into teaching , you can pursue multiple qualifications.

Do not let level of difficulty of a certification be a factor in your decision.

Choose what you would genuinely like to pursue.

Most of drawbacks of CA i learned from him only.

He has 1000 students in per batch of CA.So he knows more than you all about crapiness of CA.

Sir sorry for what ever i said yesterday.

Thanks for your advice.

lol its becoming a rant about c.a thread

I apologise for my remarks RR.

thanks sir …I don’t think I wanna do MBA so CFA

On an average a CFA holder will earn much more than a Indian CA…even if you include the PPP effects.

Please please RR …haven’t we heard enough
