Do you think with the new policy, of not allowing any candidate to leave early, the attendance for the exam will be down?
I would guess that some candidates who haven’t gone all-in on studying that were going to sit to get a feel for the exam and hope to pass will no longer go. Which I imagine could affect the minimum passing score. This might affect each level differently, if at all.
Probably not, but it is definitely my least favorite new policy ever.
I sat around for over 1.5 hours this year because of it. Level I I would have been sitting around for 2+ hours.
I think it will definitely increase no-shows in the PM session. Obviously CFAI did this to decrease attemps to share exam info across time-zones.
I think the policy makes the test more distracting. It seemed like there were twice as many people going to the bathroom at the end of the exam. Some people seemed like they went multiple times.
Also, what are people supposed to do after they get done. You can’t look around. I doubt the proctors want you staring at them. Next year I vote that they give us CFA approved word searches or Sudokus for those that get done early.
