Hi… I am an engineer and have been studying for CFA since feb-2020 for around 3 or 4 hours every morning (4:30 am to 8:30 am) . A lot of people have told me that it wont be beneficial to me. I didnt have any finance back ground when I started to do it but was drawn to it because a friend did 2 levels and she used to tell me cool stories about her work. When I started to study I found that I liked the material. So I dont want to stop but I have 9 years of work experience as an Engineer. Will appreciate inputs from you guys about what options you think passing level 1 could open for me. Could it help me get into upper management in engineering firms because of an understanding of finance and engineering. or what other options you guys think this could open for an engineer.
