CFA Institute - New Candidate ID Policy

A Message from CFA Institute: Effective 1 January 2011, our candidate ID policy has changed. In order to enroll in the CFA or CIPM Programs and to register to sit for the CFA or CIPM Exams, you must have a valid international travel passport. This policy sets forth one global standard, in the form of a single document that is both internationally obtainable and recognizable, that allows us to confirm the identity of our candidates, and to ensure that all candidates receive identical treatment during the exam day admissions process. For more information on this important policy change please see our web-site at: http://www.cfainstitute.org/cfaprogram/process/Pages/cfa_program_id_policy_change.aspx

CFAI is monitoring this forum? WTF!

Big Brother

My sentiments exactly! WTF!!! WTF Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > CFAI is monitoring this forum? WTF!

The issue is that my Passport expired in 2009 and i used Govt. Issued Id to appear for the Dec exam. Now i cant register till results are out (sure that i failed) otherwise i would have tried to register before 01/01/2011. In that case Govt. Issued Id would do. I have already applied for the passport, its a tedious process in India. Had to go through all the grind. If only so much effort i had put in for the exam :frowning:

you cannot register until after the results are declared.

I think it is considerate of them to make the effort to get the word out so no one gets screwed at the exam center because they werent paying attention.

Or they could just email all the candidates. You know, since they have all the email addresses. In fact, somehow Stalla got my mailing address and sends me CFA preparation spam once in a while. Of course, I’m not saying that they got my contact information from any particular CFA-related institution…
