has anybody bought CFA material from AdaptPrep? how is the quality of their stuff? It seems that this year is the first year they provide the level III material.

If their FRM part 2 Qbank is anything to go by, honestly I wouldn’t bother if I was you…it’s not that it’s terrible, it’s just that it’s not that great either and if there’s one CFA level you don’t want to mess around with, it’s level 3.
I would suggest using the CFAI material supplemented with the GoStudy notes…I thought they were spot on.
thanks for your feedback, I was more interested in their video mainly for the essay part. They have a sample video in their site and seems pretty good.

We will have a full suite of Level III materials for CFA. We have invested lots of time and energy into releasing high-quality products. Our instructor, Mike Carmody, delivers engaging videos focused on helping our students learn effectively.

Would be good to provide a sample video/trial version for level III. As it is the first time you provide the cfa level III material there are not so many reviews and recommendations?

They are primarily an actuarial exam review that moved into CFA prep a few years ago. This is the first year for Level III. Go to you tube and watch their How to Pass CFA Level III Essay Questions.
I plan to have videos out there as well. Check out my "How to Pass The Level III CFA Exam video on the AF Level III landing page.

Yes…“How to Pass the Level III Exam” it is on the front page of AF Level III tab. The videos are almost ready to take candidates late this afternoon or tomorrow, still working on some finer details. Videos will role out weekly.
Just for fun be sure to catch the outtakes at the end of the video around 42 minutes…this could be you in August 2017 if you make it “One & Done!”

Yes, other provider had a free trial for some videos. do you?
No unfortunately I don’t at this point. If you like what you see over there watch them for the free trial. If you like what you see than stay with the product, they are great folks. The two videos I posted above should help with some of your decision. I have been teaching this material for over 22 years, candidates seem to like the approach. I used to do the videos for the big player in the market until I went solo two years ago. One way to look at this is who is answering your question vs. the other provider.

I did the Adaptprep trial for level 1. The trial included all of their videos and sample questions for the quantitative methods section of level 1 and I thought it was pretty good. Also, I also took an actuarial review class by Carmody about 10 years ago and he was excellent. Very direct and clear. He didn’t waste time on what you don’t need to know.
