Put on about 15 lbs over my level 1 studies(passed) and am going to take th 2010 exam…that being said I will like to take a trip or two to the beach and want to jump start a diet. Would like to drop 15 lbs (weight 190) in the next 5 days. Anyone do this before and have any tips???
Chop off a leg
15lbs in the next five days?? If you are thinking about cutting fat you are high… the only thing you can even hope to lose that quickly is water weight and I’m not sure that is going to give you the “beach body” you are seeking in five days. If you are serious about getting in better shape though and will actually setup a plan I recommend an ECA stack for cutting fat. I cycle on and off and it works for me. Let me add that you need to also change your diet. Lots of veggies, lean proteins, cutback on the carbs unless you are already in good shape and want to add muscle(which it does not sound like). My daily diet looks like this for the most part: Wake up - 8oz grape juice w/ 5g creatine, ECA stack, Greens+ Work out Post work out - Protein shake w/ Fat free milk & banana (Usually do 1.5 scoops of protein) Snack - Toast & Fruit, or oatmeal, ECA Stack Lunch - Sandwich on whole wheat w/ turkey, two hard boiled eggs, spinach, Snack - Almonds, piece of fruit, ECA Stack Dinner - Chicken breast, veggies Snack - Smoothie (non fat yogurt, berries, milk)
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha 15 pounds in 5 days? You could probably lose 5 LBs worth of water weight but it’d come right back.
you sound like Mens Health magazine with that diet, but rock on if you can stick to it. Dude if you wanna get rid of 15lbs just wear black, its slimming, and avoid cameras(it adds 15, so maybe tell everyone you meet that you only look this way cuz you are on camera right now).
DO NOT EAT for 5 DAYS!! Best BET

Haha, actually I’ve perfected this over the past few months from sherdog. My diet back not long ago (Sept) was crap. It’s tough to avoid the temptations at first but once you get used it it’s not bad. I usually allow a cheat meal in each week, ie going out to teriyaki or something. Just depends.

Do you have a sherdog.net user id? Urban is the man in sherdog’s strength and power forum.
dude whats this ECA stack?
Ive put on quite a bit of weight in the last 2 yrs since i started my first job out of college. The CFA studying isnt helping either. I think i burnt myself out in college because all i did was eat well and workout. I am just cutting back on the garbage, working out after i study…even if its 10pm and i am downldg the P90x videos. Hopefully it will turn things around. ha

I do but haven’t posted in a loooooong time. I usually go between HW, OT for laughs, & D&S. needhelp Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > dude whats this ECA stack? Just type it into google and read the wiki article. It will do a much better job of explaining the function of it then I can from work. I’ve been doing 25mg of Ephedrine HCL, 200mg of Caffiene, and 325mg of Asprin.

Where did you get your routine, is it one of the stickies in D&S? I signed up for an account in 2003 but have rarely visited it since TUF reality show.
I melded together information I got from different places in D&S. The FAQS & stickies, critiques of diets that guys would put up etc… I basically tried to find something that would work with my schedule and with what was easy to do day in and day out.

I’m fairly young and in shape, but my doctor told me I had high cholesterol. I’ve cut out all the high-cholesterol food and cut down on portion sizes, and started going to the gym even more than I usually do. The net effect was that my body fat dropped rather dramatically over the course of about a month and I started being able to see my abs for the first time in my life. So, I guess it’s possible if you’re disciplined enough. My favorite lunch is an egg white wrap with vegetarian sausage (which is surprisingly tasty), with low-cal buffalo sauce and ketchup mixed in. High protein, almost no fat, no cholesterol, and very filling.
15 lbs in 5 days - that would be a record, no? Just to let you know around 3500 calories make 1 pound. So even if you run on Treadmill for 500 calories and intake 1500 calories (and not the average 2000 permissible), so the net calories saved per day with gym+diet will be 500+500 = 1000 calories. Do this deficit-1K-plan for 4 days and you might reduce 1lb. Dude weight loss is very difficult.
needhelp Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > sounds too risky I feel it’s safe and have used it before… I also take fish oil daily so maybe that is preventing the heart attack… haha. But on a serious note if you take care of yourself, hydrate, and don’t have any health problems you should be fine.
500cals on a treadmill is only like 4 miles…so run a marathon a day (26mi ~3250cals ~1lb) so if you can run 3 marathons per day for 5 days mathematically you would be there…if you didnt eat anything. I say go for it…plus its not linear, you will burn more somewhere in there…78mi/day for 5 days, how bad do you want it?
5 days???
I would advise getting on some type of low impact cardio activity and doing it for 3 hours per day. ie. stationary bike (hard), swimming (hard) - I’m not sure how good of shape you are in so wouldn’t advise running, but if you can run, push yourself to the point of not getting any injuries
