CFAI Textbooks in pdf

I remember that in the recent newsletter CFAI promised to provide the electronic versions of their texts. Does anybody know if they are available?

The material is not available in pdf or CD, due to copyright reasons. It would have made life a little easier to have them in pdf - portable and easier to read anywhere.

They might as well make it PDF and distribute it freely. They make you pay for it when you register for the exams anyway, and if you’re not taking the exams then I don’t really think they care if you’re reading the material or not.

The material is still not in PDF.

you could do what i did. i told the intern in my office to scan every page into the xerox machine and create a seperate pdf for each study session. stupid intern screwed up a couple but anyway there you go try that

yes, some of the material is in pdf. Read the study outline, you will find that the articles in vol 3, vol 1 and some other are taken from several CFA books. They are CFA investment series which you can found through internet, but they are pirate version. Example: the whole of Vol 3 can be found in International Financial Statement Analysis (October 2008) CFA Publication.

How long did that even take him? Sadly, that was probably the most productive day of his life.

I remember the PDF possibility as well. It sure would be great to just use a search function to get some clarity on a topic while studying or even at work. QBank is great in that respect that you can use a search function if you need more info on a question answered incorrectly.
