Checking for Charterholders

Guys, I figured it out. He passed all three levels but does not have relevant experience. He came for a second interview with co-worker and made that clear.

ok so he is NOT a charterholder then. NEXT!!!

Did he use the letters? If so, then that’s a big red flag. Did he say he was a charterholder? Then he definitely lied and knew that he did so. Next! Did he just say he “did the CFA program?” If so, you might have thought that he was a charterholder, but he never said that. And he may not have intended to be deceptive either… there’s no requirement that he say “… but I don’t have the charter.” And “doing the program” presumably means he took the exams and maybe passed them. So you just have to make sure that you never heard him say explicitly that he was a charterholder or use the letters. If he said he did the program or passed the exams and you assumed that meant that there’s a CFA after his name, then you should let him off the hook provided that he did well on other parts of his interview. Also, if there was a substantial time difference between when you took the exam and when he did, he may not be aware of what format changes you are talking about. I know that L2 used to have a writing portion, but I don’t expect most test-takers to know that. As for the 3-response answer replacing the 4-response answer, no actual exam has been given in that format yet. So just because he didn’t know what format changes you were talking about, maybe he just doesn’t know how the exam used to be.
