China Investment Banker Expected Pay

I have a questions: If you happen to work in Beijing or Shanghai and know what the expected salary level for a sales trader is, please let me know. I am talking about firms like CITIC or CICC. Thanks,

bump

Should be similar to the salary anywhere in the world if you are working for top I-banks.

Really? Things are the same in the orient?

Should be. Maybe a slight cost-of-living adjustment. So you should live like a king over there.

The major investment banks tend to have “global” programs for junior staff. For example, if you worked at my bank’s hong kong office as a first year analst out of undergrad you made roughly the same as a first year working in manhattan. for the local players, its probably different, but I couldn’t guide you to a level.

I am now working in Shanghai. If you are a foreigner and receive most of your education in the west, you will be paid globally in my opinion. And as to the cost of living, it’s stupidly inexpensive according to 1 of my friends, a American living in NY b4 coming to China.
