CIPM

Hi, I was just wondering if someone was interested in becoming a performance analyst, would you recommend going for the cfa first or go straight for cipm? what kind of salary does one expect for a perf analyst after 5 yrs? Does it plateau? Thanks!

If your destination of choice is Performance Analyst, don’t bother with the CFA. CIPM will cover everything you need for performance. If the Performance Analyst role is just the next step in a career that you hope will take you beyond performance, you should definitely take the CFA because the CIPM has minimal value outside of performance. I wouldn’t expect much at all in terms of salary until you take on a higher role w/in performance (project manager, Sr Perf Analyst, Mgr, etc). BTW, I am currently a Performance Analyst w/ CFA IMO, CFA is definitely valuable but a total overkill for a junior level Perf Analyst position.
