Confidentiality preservation in respecrt to PCP investigation

Is providing client confidential information to the CFAI Professional Conduct Committee not a violation of the Codes and standard?

I came across a mock questions sometimes ago that said we need to get the client permission before disclosing such information about the client or his investment to the CFAI.

In another exercise, it said it is correct to provide confidential client information to CFAI as part of the Professional Conduct Investigation.

Please weigh in your view on this…

Thanks.

No, it is not. CFAI insists that PCP should be viewed as an extension of yourself.

Everything you know can therefor be shared with PCP.

ok, thanks…

My pleasure
