Consultant for the financial industry: qualified?

Dear all,

I passed level 3 in 2015 and I’m planning to apply for my charter before 2016 results are out and people start to ask for their charte.

My last 3 years of experience are totally investing oriented, so no poblem. However, during my first 11 months I was a management consultant working for a bank. I’ve read that this kind of roles qualify as long as they create a “product” that could be used in the investment decision. So, do you think that the following could be accepted?

"I was member of the Financial & Commodities Risk Consulting team of a management consultancy firm for the financial industry.

I worked in a project for a bank, designing the new financial system. Specifically, this includes designing a new model that the system would use to compute the theoretical fair interest rate taking into account market factors such as liquidity premium and credit risk premium. This theoretical fair interest rate would be used to determine if the rates in the market are over or under priced, and invest accordingly.

My tasks included:

-Participate in deciding which inputs would feed the system (which rate curves, liquidity premium, risk premium) and how to compute them.

-Testing and implementing the preliminary versions of the system."

Thank you in advance and good luck to exam takers.

Stay thirsty, my friend.
