Dear all - I have been working in Strategy and Operations Project Management Consulting for an entrepreneurial firm within the financial services industry based out of NYC over the last four years. In parallel, I have earned the CFA Charter this fall.
I’m interested in making a move to the investment side. My initial thought is to mend my Project Management work experiences with my academic endeavors through the CFA program, and work in Private Equity. Helping grow my start-up consulting firm (and enjoying the process) has led me to favor Lower-Middle Market Private Equity, to be specific.
Does anyone on this thread have any experience in this market, or know of any firms that would value my profile, acknowledging it is slightly outside of the normal path? Any advice towards making this switch or improving my resume to make me a stronger candidate?
Thank you for your time,
JZAF
