might be having a brain fart but what is the explicit difference between “constant dividend payout” and “stable dividend payout”
“Constant dividend payout” means the company pays out dividends in the same percentage of EPS, e.g. 40% of EPS (which may not necessarily be the same dollar amount each quarter). “Stable dividend payout” means paying out the same dollar amount in dividends (e.g. constant $0.15 dividend)
Stable dividend payout is when you pay a fixed amount as dividends. Constant dividend payout, is when you payout a fixed percentage of your earnings as dividends. This will fluctuate as your earnings fluctuate.
ok beauty. just wanted to confirm. thanks guys.
