Has anyone heard of a correlation between the questions/concepts in a certain year’s exam and big financial stories during that time period? I think it would make sense that since the people writing these exams are probably very interested in current events of the finance world, maybe they consciously or subconsciously include these topics more prominently in the exams? I’m new to the CFA institute and their processes as I just started studying for level 1, so I could be completely off base but thought it could be an interesting relationship. Would love to hear if anyone else has insight on this. If it proves true, would be a beneficial thing to look for while studying.
