Credit Analyst- FI&NBFI Interview

I have got an interview in two days time for a Credit Analyst role focusing on Financial Institutions and Non banking financial institutions. I am told the interview will consist of a case study analysis and then a one to one after. i am worried about the analysis bit, because i dont know what to expect. any ideas how i can prepare for this guys, your help will be greatly appreciated, i really want this job.

Know your basic Credit Ratios; Debt/EBITDA EBIT/Int EBITDA/Int + CPLTD CA/CL CA-Inv/CL NWC Know what each one means and if higher or lower is better. Also, in Level I and II there is some very short chapters on Credit Analysis. I would do a run down on those chapters. It worked for me and I had a good idea of what was going on with the case study and got the job. Been doing this for over a year. I dont analyze Financial Institutions but I would reccomend doing some research on what types of ratios might be asked for banks, etc. Collateral and Capital Ratios, Etc.

Thanks Roadcat, very much appreciated.

No problem, make sure you look at a few financial statments for lending institutions just to get an idea of the terminology and presentation. The terminology is quite different but you should be able to figure it out.
