De Feis O'Connell & Rose, P.C.

I just finished reading “Catching the Wolf of Wall Street.” Nick and Greg were attorney’s representing Jordan Belfort. I’m interested to know what JTLD has to say about them, if anything. Wolf of Wall Street and Catching the Wolf of Wall Street are entertaining reads.

Say about who? None of these names are familiar to me. What is the gist of the story?

Jordan Belfort ran Stratton Oakmont which became the basis for the movie Boiler Room. He was banned from working in the financial service industry, and was finally arrested late in the 90s for various SEC violations, money laundering, tax evasion, etc. The law firm listed above represented him and I was curious about their exposure in NYC. That Ike guy that represented Madoff was also an attorney that he secured while running Stratton Oakmont. His first book is decent but entertaining, his second book was a bit redundant. A movie is rumored to be coming out.

I just looked over my list of 48 law firms that service hedge funds and they’re not on there. Maybe they were acquired or disbanded at some point between then and now.
