I’m looking for so help in finding an idea for Groomsmen gift ideas. The wedding is a destination wedding so I wanted to get them something nice since they are spending money to travel. I’m trying to avoid the normal stuff like flask, shaving kit, cigar etc… My budget is around $250 per groomsmen
I’m getting nice, engraved sport/pocket knives (with their names - I’m not gonna be that asshole that gets our names and wedding date on their knives) for my groomsmen. Does this fall under the category of “trite?”
Sweet. At one of my buddies’ weddings, brother of the bride swapped out all the groomsmen’s vests with these:
The bride was not very happy when she noticed a few minutes into the ceremony.
When another buddy got married, we found his shoes the night before the wedding (rehersal dinner was at his house) and wrote “Help Me” on the bottom in White Out. Nice mix of chuckles and gasps in the church the first time the happy couple knelt down during the ceremony. He was a bit upset, but the bride thought it was hysterical when she found out later.
Hello OP. As a married person, I advise you to invest in something manly, since part of marriage is to give up certain male aspirations and your manly gift will help to compensate for this emasculation. This gift does not have to be useful: certain possessions convey a manly effect just by being in a person’s inventory. In fact, some gifts that the recipient is unlikely to use while married might even be better, since these gifts might serve as reminders of the “old days”.
Here are examples of things that I would describe as “manly”:
Any kind of tools; tools that combine several functions are best as gifts, due to the sense of novelty.
Backpacks or other travel gear that conveys a feeling of adventure.
Alcohol related items.
Grill accessories.
Improbably nice men’s attire or accessories.
Take this thing for example. It is probably not very useful, but you can show it to your buddies and feel like the alpha male for 15 minutes. In fact, for your budget, you can buy two.
