Is not in Code of Standards. Where does it say we cannot discuss specific questions?
pledge?
I didnt get that … I paid $700 for books, over $400 for review material spent hundreds of hours of my life away from my family… not talking about specific questions? Gimee a break… what are they afriad of - having to release more erratas ?
well i guess we are all in violation then :-/.
i just want to learn, what’s wrong with it
You can’t talk about things in such a way that would allow people to reconstruct the question. You can still talk about principles and problem types that came up on the exam. You can ask about and to respond to factual information about CFAI material.
yeah, right, like anybody would sit through our discussion and try to reconstruct these questions.
I had read something to the effect that CFAI just rotates the Multiple choice questions from previous exams. Hence they do not like people to reconstruct th exam.

chad, but we discuss specific answers. Yes you wont be able to reconstruct question but we do discuss answers.
I think they might just simply send people to take the test. But is it a violation to do that? bchadwick Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > bluelily Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > yeah, right, like anybody would sit through our > > discussion and try to reconstruct these > questions. > > > Maybe Stalla and Schwesser employees would; it > helps them create practice problems.
Reconstruct the questions? Hell, I couldnt even construct the answers and I had the books for 9 months! Load of CRAP!
For some of the questions, I don’t think I can even construct the answers now with a set of notes in front of me under that time pressure.
If you can reconstruct the question from what you posted, it’s *definitely* a violation. There’s a grey area where you get too close without giving out enough. That’s why it’s best just to talk in generalities and ask about basic principles. But remember that you’re supposed to distance yourself from violators, so if a discussion gets too close to revealing specifics, don’t go there. I’ve stopped posting on a number of points since thinking that through.
