Doing Bachelors in Financial Market

Hello myself Nishant Bhardwaj I am from science background after my 12th I took admission in BE in Mechanical. As my dad is a stock broker so I use to sit with him during trading hours and my interest always lies in Finance but I didn’t told to my father about this.After this I meet with my dad’s friend too he is CFA and got the best analyst of India award by our PM. After my 1 sem I decided to drop Engineering and do Bachelors in Financial Market as I want to do CFA.

So I want to know that I am going on a right path. Because I think Bachelors in Financial Market can help me afterwards.

Right now I am in 1st Year of Financial Market doing it from Mumbai University and I am also the Board of Director of a film production company.

So as many educated people are here on this forum I would really Appreciate your REPLY.

Thank you

Nishant Bhardwaj

Well I can’t imagine too many other majors have more of a finance focus than this. The only thing you want to watch out for is depending on the job they might want something more quantitative than this curriculum, but that depends on what you want to do (like if you want to do trading).

this seems like the right pick for most financial analyst type jobs and it should be decent prep for the CFA program imo

@Ron Swanson

Yes sir I want to be CFA so this going to help me in my program ?

Yes, these classes will help you be prepared for the CFA

However I would say that you should think of the CFA as a tool to accomplish a career goal, and not a goal by it self, or at least that’s my view

@ron swason Thanks a lot sir for your support and i am planing to do mba in finance after my bachelors degree
