Done readings and reviews

that’s the good part, although I did skip some items I just didn’t think worth my time, quite a few of them actually. However, topics covered only a week ago are a total blurr and I have to keep looking at my notes and formulas. I’m planning on taking an hour or two of direct memorization of formulas…as in recall, write down on scratch paper and throw away, rinse, wash, repeat. It’s gotta stick eventually.

You are ahead of me only by 80%.

I quit the CFA 2011 mock in the middle today. Want to complete review first. Will attempt the rest of the test tomorrow.

First practice exam done today - CFAI 2011 Mock: 73% overall. 68% morning 77% afternoon

I’m totally with you Dreary. I will probably take the whole day tomorrow and just memorize all the formulas cold. It seems like I keep getting the easy formulas wrong - even then ones I thought I completely understood - when answering those tricky mock questions…

Yep, comprehension is going to improve very little at this point. Now it is just memorization for the next 48 hours.

secret sauce+ethics till the end…

Well, First Test of the 2nd Schweser book took the wind out of my sails. Nice little 64% collectively. Worst part is I thought I did well on the first part, but nope 63. Atleast the average was a 58? Been hitting 75’s mostly on every other one. Think I’m calling it quits with the practice exams after 5 and just going to review all the stupid mistakes I make (FCRP)

Best way to think about FCRP, and what will make you never forget it, is that it is the currency adjusted return on investing in a rf asset in another country, over what you would earn on your home country’s rf asset.

What do you guys think is better? Reading through old mocks exams, or browsing through old EOCs?

At this point? Depends on how many mock’s you’ve done. I think at this point its just relaly memorizing all the crap you keep messing up on. Thats atleast for me. I find myself doing worse on the mocks, but that may be due to sleep deprivation (damn adderall!). I need to brush up on freakin Corp Finance, Ethics, and Derivatives (If i never have to look at an FRA again, I’ll be so happy.)

im cranking through every FSA EOC now. i just bombed a mock (66%) and it is freaking me out ! … sigh…

66% on FRA = pass in actual exam.

pepp Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > 66% on FRA = pass in actual exam. no it’s not. and even if it were, i dont like to live that dangerously. also it was 66% on an entire mock. also also FRA and FSA are not the same thing either.

What is fsa? also does it mean that if any of the autocorrelations is significant that means the model is not covariant stationary and there is seasonality present??

Browsing through mocks I took in April, thing have definately cone together since then…
