Let’s keep this a litte light hearted… We are busting our butts to add “CFA” to our name. What are the easiest to obtain corporate certifications out there? I’m just wondering because I see people like “Joe Doe, PMP” on LinkedIn all the time and sometimes think this is a silly crap.
CFP at least compared with CFA?
I am so glad someone brought out the pmp talk - half the people in my group have it and think they are awesome - soooo lame …
PMP is for project management. It is not a big deal to get but PM makes in 6 figures. A friend of mine who is just 26 has one and he makes more than any analyst makes in my company. It is totally different thing. I know it doesnt make any sense to boast about PMP
But the qualifications for PMP are basically ‘work experience’ and what seems like one, fairly easy, test.
way easier than CFA…
Joe Smith, SAT.

How about PhD(ABD). People who do that (especially that have been out for 10 years) always piss me off.

Ph.D.(ABD) are bogus letters, but in most situations it means you passed qualifiers. Passing my qualifiers was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Writing a dissertation, not hard.
