I was recently invited to an interview for an investment analyst position at a univerisity endowment. Job description mentioned an analytical skills test as part of the interview process. Looking for ideas/advice on how to prep for it.
Preparing for an analytical skills test can seem intimidating, but there are a few things you can do to give yourself an edge.
First, brush up on your math skills. You should be familiar with basic algebra and calculus, as well as being able to interpret data and analyze it quickly.
Next, practice your problem-solving skills. Analytical tests will often require you to identify patterns, draw logical conclusions, and think critically. Brush up on your logic and reasoning skills with puzzles, brainteasers, and logic games.
Finally, make sure you’re comfortable with the tools you’ll be using. If you’re taking a computer-based test, practice using the interface and familiarize yourself with any software you’ll be using. If the test is paper-based, practice writing out answers quickly and accurately.
