Equity Capital Markets Opportunity

I was recently approached about an opportunity working for a mid sized bank as an equity capital markets analyst. I’m interested to see if anyone can provide some color on job responsbilities, culture/work life balance (obviously this differs a bit from bank to bank but how does it compare to more traditional IB roles), exit opportunities, etc.

Currently I’m working as a research analyst for an institutional consulting firm so I have a pretty good feeling for whats happening in the markets and have experience putting together pitchbooks and research pieces regarding macro issues as well as individual investments.

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated!

Lots and lots of excel sheets and modeling.

This is just an IPO/secondary focused IB position, no? At least that’s what they call the guys I’ve worked with that are IPO/secondary focused IB people.

Thats correct, my understanding is that the position is mostly working on IPOs
