Essential Excel skills for Asset Mgt?

Dear all,

I have an entry-level asset management (Fixed Income) interview coming up next week. What are the essential excel skills needed for bond fund management? What aspect of VBA should i know?

I guess it depends on the role. I would imagine that if you’re going for a trader/PM role you’ll need knowledge of advance modeling skills and VBA, but if you’re just going for some sort of client services role or entry level analyst role you’ll need to know the basics like SUM, sumproduct, SUMIF, Vlookup, Hlookup. Index/match, and financial math.
