Hi all, my previous CFA I exam got voided because I used my admission ticket as scratch paper and didn’t know this was against the rules. Is it part of my permanent CFA record, and does it affect my chances of getting Charter? More importantly, would my employers know about this? I’m thinking whether I’m better off re-registering a new CFA account and paying the enrolment fee again.
If you only had your results voided and you were not ejected from the program, your chances are not affected. I don’t know if CFAI discloses such violations or not. You cannot register as a new candidate.
Why would you use ticket as scrap paper… come on man.
Employers won’t know about this. Don’t worry about it. Just follow all of the rules next time and you’ll be fine.
youll be fine
Thanks everyone! If I understand this correctly, even if I got a 1-year suspension from candidacy, it would not affect my chances at getting charter and my employers would not know? Exam-related violations would not show up here http://www.cfainstitute.org/ethics/conduct/Pages/member_status_inquiry.aspx ?
