Excel Help

Question for you guys/gals…

I have a big ‘workings’ excel file with a bunch of financials build into it. I was doing some sensitivity analysis on Friday and capturing the various scenarios in a seperate smaller excel ‘output file’. I shipped out the output file to my team, afterwards my ‘workings file’ crashed while saving it.

My output file is still in tact, linking to the ‘ghost’ version of my workings excel file. When I double click through the sheet, it opens up the unsaved version of my workings file.

Is there a way to pull up the excel doc that my output file seems to be able to reference? Is it a temporary file somewhere? I won’t be able to rework the output analysis to the same percision (talkng 1bp increments) and just want to recover the lost working file that syncs with what I already broadcasted

If you have the autosave function turned on you might be able to recover the working file in the save folder of the Excel program folder.

That’s why CRTL + S is my best friend of all.

Next time save any little advance you do, if your excel get crashed you will only lose a very small portion of it.
