It might be a very question. But can anyone help me to distinguish between fact and opinion? Still i am getting confused.
“i think the stock is overvalued, so will sell the shares” - opinion
“20,000 units were shipped last year, corresponding to growth of 2.4%. To justify the current price, yoy growth of 20% is required” - fact
Imo, only the first half of your second statement is fact, and the second half is opinion. Saying what a price is justified at is an opinion.
Unless of course you’re referring to a specific definition of “justified price” such as (1-b)/(r-g) or what have you. But then it would have to be explicitly mentioned which justified price multiple you’re using.
