Feels like border-line and ethics is my weakest...what do I do?

Hi guys - I’ve been taking Schweser practice exams and I am fairly certain I am just about bordering the pass/fail line…

Schweser Practice Exam scoares:

  • 1st Morning: 83%
  • 1st Afternoon: 73%
  • 2nd Morning: 78%
  • 2nd Afternoon: 79%
  • 3rd Morning: 74%
  • 3rd Afternoon: 73%
  • 4th Morning: 73%
  • 4th Afternoon: 74%
  • 5th Morning: 80%
  • 5th Afternoon: 79%

I have one full Schweser practice exam (morning and afternoon) and I plan on taking one CFAI mock exam…

The only issue is that Ethics is my weakest point (averaging 69% on Schweser practice exams thus far)…

What’s the best strategy to boost my Ethics score with just a few days to go until the exam date?

Your scores look fine. Review Ethics, formulae, and lists. Then get two good nights’ sleep.

The only thing that worries me is that I am not getting >80% (which I think is the borderline) but my ethics is atrocious (at times, I would get 62%…)…with the ethics adjustment - :open_mouth: it scares me…

I haven’t read the full CFA texts so I might do that for Ethics

Most believe that the borderline is 70%, not 80%. Anecdotally, I’ve heard that nobody who’s scored 70% overall has ever failed.

I am scoring close to 65% and Ethics varies from 50-66%. What do I do? I am very scared. Mine is obviously a borderline case. In CFAI Mock, I scored a 64% (56 and 70 respectively)

Economics- I score somewhere between 0 and 50%. What can be a good strategy now? I’ve kept Thursday for Ethics and Friday for revising the formula/ concept sheet (10 in number) that I’ve prepared.

close to 80% is NOT failing

I would make sure that I score really well in Ethics, FRA, Equity and Fixed Income as they constitute such a big weight in the exam. That will make up for what you lose Economics section
