Hi,
Wonder anyone know whether FRM accept refund due to medical reason? I know CFA does it, but never heard anyone refund FRM.
Basically, I registered for the exam in late Feb, then defered it in early March for the May exam. However, I found myself pregnant soon after that and the Nov exam falls within the same week of my Due day. I wonder whether FRM can process defer for another time, or maybe simply do a refund. If not, it feels unfair to lose both my exam fee and the defer fee without any chance to attend the exam.
Wonder what everyone thinks, or knows any similar stories.
GARP’S DEFERRAL POLICY -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A candidate may only defer their exam registration to the next exam date. If you decide not to attend the exam, you will forfeit your exam registration fee and will need to re-register as a returning candidate; should you choose to sit for the exam in the future. Important: A second deferral is never considered. Once the deferral deadline October 15, 2015 has passed; special deferrals requests will not be considered. There are no exceptions to this. A candidate who has registered for both FRM Part I and FRM Part II and then defers the FRM Exam Part II registration and does not pass Part I, their Part II deferral will automatically be converted to a Part I registration in the next administration. Note: This conversion of registration is not done until after the exam results come out. As a last reminder, any candidate sitting for Part II cannot do so, without having FIRST passed Part I.
