Gain on sale of machine or profit on sale of building

How do we classify these 2 items on cash flow statement?

gain on sale of machine

profit on sale of building

My first thought would be like sale proceeds form fixed asset = CFI, but perhaps these items should not be recorded as cash flows but in income statement as profit/loss. Could anyone confirm?

The gain/loss is recorded on the income statment and then you deduct a gain from the CFO or add back a loss. The cash proceeds are recorded on the CFI.
