Haven’t asked a question here in a while. Here goes:
So I’ve got a pretty good gig now as a senior analyst on the buy-side, but my company is quite stupid and has been comping people far worse recently, despite good performance (long story).
Anyway, I have my CFA Charter, but was thinking about knocking out my CFP as well, to make myself more marketable to more opportunities when the time comes (Work as investment chief for RIA, etc).
Was just curious if you could get your CFP without your employer knowing. I know you pretty much can do it with the CFA if you have prior work experience. Would be a huge red flag for them if they knew this, right?? haha.
