Nevertheless, the requirement is to make the presentation available to prospective clients, not to existing clients.

firms must make every reasonable effort to provide a compliant presentation to all prospective clients. As long as a prospective client has received a compliant presentation within the previous 12 months, the firm has met this requirement.

Why not to existing clients?

Prospective clients later split into existing clients, as well as non-clients. I guess the existing clients have been logically included in the concept of prospective clients, in GIPS.
