I really really felt frustrated now. I don’t even know how to look for a full-time job since I got too many contracts job on my resume. Got 1 finance master degree and half accounting master. I used to contract as price analyst, processing analyst, data analyst and compliance analyst in different firm. My goal of career is to become a financial analyst or investment analysis. Right now whenever I applied for related jobs, the HR or manager will always have doubts for me if I can stay long term at the current job. Feel so helpless… Please advise
Changing roles is common for someone starting their career and even contract work for someone starting their career is common. But if you have over 10+ years of pure contract work that would raise flags.
I’m in a similar boat and have a short-term contract on my resume and other jumps on my resume. Looks like I can’t stay at a job long or something. As a result, I’ve been stuck at my current job that I want to leave from and not getting much interviews. You might have to suck it up and stay in your current job for 2+ years before people consider you again
Only 3 months so far… My boss wanted to replace me soon with someone else as he claimed he didn’t think I’m a good fit for this role because seems like I got more talents with numbers and I should move to finance department. I’m so speechless. I mean I did nothing wrong at this job and actually I helped them out a lot. I don even know how to explain to my future potential employer about that.
