Greenback Mountain!

Me too. What keeps me here are really just some of my familiar friends and friendly adversaries from old times.

The influx of interesting new posters has gone down substantially over the years. Part of it is just the way the industry is downsizing, and part of it is that I suspect the new users are trending younger and younger.

Or maybe I’m getting older faster than I realize and just have less patience for immature stuff.

On the plus side, I’ve been watching some of the discussions here and in the Investments forum and am really impressed with how nuanced and informed some of the (for lack of a better word) old-timers have become. Of course, many of them have been here 5+ years and have been learning and becoming more experienced at the same time. I may not agree with their conclusions or not like some of the implications that follow if they are right, but their arguments and analysis are definitely more solid than I recall way back when I started.

So it’s not all bad.

AF for me has roots back to my candidate days. fretting over exams, using the search function to find group discussions on past L3 AM sections and why certain answers are what they are, laughing and joking about it all.

good times.
