Got a 75% on an afternoon practice test this weekend. I don’t think I’ve gotten a 75% on any practice test, ever. Why do I still feel like I’m grossly underprepaired? Morning sessions are around how I usually do on practice tests - more like 60%. I try to grade those as hard as I can. Every day I come across a topic I don’t know though and it freaks me out! 2 weeks left and there’s still so much to do. I’ve been going about 5 hours a day + work and I don’t know if I’ll make it through everything I want to before test day - not that I ever do, but this time I feel I’m really pusshing it!
Always remember analyst forum is not representative of the rest of the takers of this test. Look at the pass result thread from last year. Of the people that are actively posting pass rate is >90%. I am sure you are doing great.
compare your scores to Paraguays and then tell me your comfortable

I think it is good to feel underprepared now on the exam day, some overconfidence will not hurt…

So… If Paraguay doesn’t pass, there is no point in anyone else going for that exam dude! Let’s all just sit at home and get ready for 2012. That statement is not in consonance with an earlier post: “Posted by: Paraguay (IP Logged) Date: May 23, 2011 11:31AM Always remember analyst forum is not representative of the rest of the takers of this test. Be very careful with practice exam test scores. They will vary wildly for level 3. Last year, I got over 80% in CFAI Mock and sample (even the hard one), then scored in mid 60s in a Schweser sample… and I am still here. Practice Exams should be used as a learning tool. The more the better… that’s it.
75% is not high score I get 95% in mock and still feel a little nervous you should know the time pressure in real test don’t be overconfident or in representativeness ,people always overly optimistic in past winners but what is real important is the ex ante…people are good at telling what happened in the past but bad at what is going to happen
If i score 95% in any of the exam, I’ll just stop reading and go yachting till June 4…

What did you get on this year’s mock exam? I call shens on getting 95% on mock as well.
i got 160% but i added up 2 yrs woth of mock exams

unprepaired? is that being not paired ahead of time

This year’s CFAI mock has so many repetitive questions from last year that it is not a true mock. I got pretty decent score (over 80%).

If you do well on these then I think you might be screwed because it mean it probably wont show up on the exam.
I think reading 24 is important

Very good point,…What we are doing now is pretty much like running simulation to tune our internal models. Our target “return” is very clear: * get 70%+ right and done, or * get 65%±5% right and judged by CFAI.
a buddy of mine scored in the 50’s the last two days before level 3 last year and ended up getting just about over 70 in every section.
I gotta second that, I did terrible on every practice exam for levels 1&2 and still did great on the real thing. I got a 56 on the Schweser mock last weekend, and yeah it’s scaring the crap out of me, but I gotta think I still have a chance.
