Hello All,
I currently work as a credit analyst for a short term fixed income shop that manages money market and SMA strategies and wanting to know from those that have gone through the material or actual FRM holders…to what extent would the FRM designation be beneficial for working towards a path in portfolio management or getting on the other side with counter parties we work with? The CFA is highly beneficial as an analyst and of course for PM, I’m just trying to gauge if this would only be an incremental add to my career progression or if it would definitely help advance it. I know there are multiple other factors at hand, but overall, I’m just trying to get some ideas.
I welcome your perspectives.
Thanks
