Ok, I need some suggestions as to how to make this happen…if it is even possible. I am registered for lvl1 for this Dec, but I am also want to take lvl2 ASAP so it would be this upcoming June. My issue is that I am on the last semester of U, and getting my convocation during June-July. I have been in School for 5 years but to my understanding, you need a degree to be able to register for lvl2, and it seems like I can’t write the lvl2 exam under the circumstances (assuming I passed lvl1). Anyone here has any suggestions as to how can i make this happen? I seriously does not want to wait another year for lvl2. You guys think it is possible to say, let my school to draft a letter to CFAI saying I will get my degree etc etc? How does CFAI verify your degree anyway? I have also heard that CFAI will waive the requirement if you have been in school for more than 4 years?? Helppp Thanks T
it’s probably not going to happen because you need to have a degree to register for level 2. but i have outlined a plan for you: step 1: pass level 1 exam step 2: contact cfa institute with your questions about level 2
Maybe there is a reason for CFAI’s rule and trying to route around it isn’t a smart idea?
Convocation is separate from completing your coursework. If you can complete your coursework by the time you register for L2 I don’t think it is a problem.
pass Level I first, then worry about it.

Its not like you have to “SUBMIT” any document. Since you will have you degree at the time of appearance in level 2, you shouldn’t have any problem.
Agree with supersharpshooter + but most likely cfai refuse to allow you to register for L2 as there is a chance even < 0.001% that you may not get the degree b4 exam day. Moreover the adm work is so complicated. Also other candidates may use the similar reason for registering L2.
