for the 4 years working experience required, how cfai verify what we declared? or the work experience need to be signed by the employer? thanks for help
I think as long as it’s worded in a way that shows that you add value to the investment making process it’s likely to be approved.
Financial Advisor or Portfolio manager is pretty much a shoe in. Dentist or construction worker, probably not as likely.
I saw the email that they sent to the references, it’s a few questions and a quick writeup about your work and character, one of the questions was “does Dpack26 spend at least 50% of his time doing investmenty things?”
I wrote my experience on paper along with the start/end dates + submitted 3 references. i know for certain CFAI called at least 1 reference and confirmed my experience for that position. I seriously don’t care if you choose to believe it or not. and if someone was going to be 100% honest about what they are writing down. there’s 0 reason to be “worried” at all. someone is only “worried” if they are fudging their experience, concerned about getting caught, or think their experience won’t pass (in which case it’s unfortunate, but if CFAI judges it to be that way, then it is what it is)
Then your experience is dated. CFAI doesn’t call references to verify work experience. If people are worried about their experience, they can simply reword it or make it up.
if you want to advocate someone making up their experience that’s your opinion. Obviously that’s highly unethical, and I strongly disagree with doing that. It also undermines the value of the charter. Since you claim to have the charter I’m actually rather disappointed that you would encourage people lying on their application. I hope you don’t do that in your own career/job
