some how it seems like recuiters only have back office jobs in big banks. how about the HF jobs?
if you don’t have any related experience, recruiters won’t give rat arse for HF.
studynomore what are you looking to do? i know about a lower level HF accounting job at my old place. i would probably get a referral bonus if you got hired too.
Online App. lol
thacharter- is it heavy accounting? I fear I might not be qualified for the position as I studied finance in college. the only accounting exposure i have is from studying for the CFA exam. I graduated from a good university and cleared level 2 but yet NO hits on my resume at all, this economy is very depressing.
asset_Management - at one time i even tried snail mailing my resume to a company LOL well of course it probably went straight to the trash bin.
I got an unsolicited recruitment call from a HF recently, so presumably, there are recruiters that do this. But anyway, if you search for “hedge fund” on eFinancialCareers or some other website, lots of postings turn up. Am I missing something?
It would be a junior corporate acounting role so theyre looking for someone with like a year or two of auditing experience. Plus if you majored in finance from a good school I dont suggest you take a back office accounting role. Just keep up your search and with L2 under your belt you should find something good eventually
ohai - thanks, i will give that a try. I have only been using monster and careerbulder and that is not going well.
thacharter - if you dont mind sharing, what have you moved on to now,?
Job fairs. I got my internship there.
