I can’t believe I read this whole thing without getting any response from OP. At least I am now an expert on the statistics of preferred outcome: copying or guessing. Statistically it is better to copy. But let’s not forget the probability of getting caught is extremely high. Getting caught likely means you won’t get to retake the exam again. Whereas guessing and failing still allows you retake the exam as many times as needed to eventually randomly pass. However, that would be a costly endeavour.
