I'm getting tired...

I started late my studying since I took Level I in December and now I’m getting tired of it. I feel like I’m burning myself out. And also on top of that, I feel like there isn’t enough time so what’s the point. I guess i’m getting discouraged. Anyone feeling this way?

how many hours a day are you spending on studying and when do you study? I think its important to keep clear what the goal is.

You should just quit now or better yet, show up and score zero to shift the curve in favor of other applicants. The June 2010 Level 2 candidate pool salutes you for your sacrifice.

yea dude if you paid for the exam you need to at least help your fellow AFers out and bomb that baby to rip that MPS threshold down (unless CFAI adjusts MPS for outliers, then we’re all Fd) and wouldnt you be better served by seeing what the actual exam is like…like quit studying, then study all of May as much as you can and at least sit for the exam so you didnt just piss away $600

Pull yourself together man. Assuming you started January first and at 18 hours a day as you said, you are on pace for 380 hours of studying. Thats plenty of time. You are also about 40% of the way to the test and have already put in 150 hours. Don’t let that go time go to waste. Get a grip and hop back on the horse. Don’t get discouraged and quit. Finish strong the next 3 months and then kick the exams ass. Then take as long of a break as you want.

go on ski holiday for a week or weekend get the battery loaded. sun and fresh air will do you good. than you will have enough energy to study.

Dear Philly, think about it this way. Presumably you’re taking this exam to progress within the field of finance, get promoted, earn big money, etc. Guess what? The real life is much harder than this exam. Being a Big Swinging Dick takes much more time, commitment, discipline, and personal sacrifice than studying for CFA Level 2. If you can’t pull your act together and pass this simple examination, what makes you think you have what it takes to take the next step? Passing this exam could not be any easier. The syllabus tells you exactly what you need to do. In real life, the problems are far more complicated, and you need to choose correctly from infinite possibilities to progress in your career. Contrary to what most people tend to believe, rich finance people are not handed millions of dollars for doing nothing. You need to be talented, hardworking and mature to earn these big payoffs. The people who don’t have these attributes wash out. Are you a future BSD or are you a washout? BSDs don’t need people to hug them and pat them on the back to stop them from crying. If you are so easily discouraged and burnt out, I suggest you quit the CFA program and quit finance altogether. Otherwise, pull your sh*t together, grow some balls, stick to the plan and pass with full confidence. Whining about how hard it is is stupid and pointless.

Thanks!!!
